Candice Font

When ordering the Candice font, please remember to order it in upper and lower case because it does not read very well when used as all capitals, also note that we measure the font from the total height from the bottom of the lowest letter to the top of the highest letter and not the call up height. When the font is input on a computer with a typed in height of say 300mm it will have an actual measured height of about 500mm from the very bottom of the text to the very top of the text, the call up height is measured from a lower case ‘h’ and a capital ‘H’ is a lot bigger.

Example, when  a 300mm high set of lettering is ordered in the Candice font, we will cut it 300mm high from the very bottom of the capital ‘P’ to the top of the’P’. If we cut the lettering by the computer input height of 300mm the actual height would be around 500mm high.

Wall Words in Vinyl lettering For Business Use

Vinyl Lettering for Walls

A short YouTube showing vinyl lettering being cut in black matt, the lettering was made in line made so that all the lettering was supplied as a single panel of pre-spaced lettering. The font used called Helvetica Bold. The customer initially wanted the lettering cut in all capitals letters but we advised otherwise and finally cut the lettering in upper and lower case for clarity. If the lettering had been cut in capitals letters it would have been harder to read.

Vinyl lettering will stick to painted flat walls for inside office building. The lettering will take longer to stick to a wall than if it was stuck to a gloss painted surface. Vinyl lettering stuck onto walls will require a little more time to fix and will need rubbing down harder. If the application tape does not want to separate from the lettering, just leave it for an hour and come back to it to give the lettering a chance to cure. If after an hour the lettering and the application tape still does not want to stick onto the wall you can use a hair dryer to heat the lettering a little and rub the lettering onto the wall while slowly peeling off the application tape. Finally the lettering will stick to the wall and the application tape can be removed. The lettering will stick harder to the wall over time as the vinyl adhesive cures.

Vinyl Lettering for Wooden Shop Fronts

Vinyl lettering will stick onto gloss painted wooden shop fronts as long as the surface is properly painted. If for some reason the letters don’t seem to want to stick very well onto the surface because the surface is not as flat as it could have been, the letters should still be able to fit with the application of some heat from a hair dryer. Don’t use a paint striping gun as you may damage the sign.

Black vinyl letters, American Typewriter Bold Font, two sets at 2200mm long by 275mm high and some smaller letters at 100mm and 50mm high. Supplied for DIY fitting, sent out in the post to Bridgewater.
